An International Fest on Tourism & Hospitality

A brief note on the Event
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is organising CII Tourism Fest 2013, An International Fest on Tourism & Hospitality from Thursday, 5 to Saturday, 7 December 2013 at Chandigarh.
Chandigarh Tourism has confirmed to host the CII Tourism Fest as the Host City. Punjab has confirmed as the Principal Partner State for the initiative. Other than this Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Delhi, Pondicherry, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu have confirmed their participation. Canada, China, Macau, Philippines, New Zealand, Thailand, South Africa, Singapore, Dubai are some of the Countries which have confirmed their participation.
Concurrent events during the Fest would include
Golf Tournament
Food Festival
International Chef Meet
International Dance Festival
Along with the Fest we propose to have a Chief Ministers’ Forum on the Thursday 5th December 2013 to address key issues between Centre and State Governments participating at the fest. We propose to create a report (background papers) on this subject and send it to the entire Northern Region States well in advance so that the forum turns out to be a platform to reach on some conclusions.

Issues related to finance and taxation
Future Road Map
Apart from this the initiative is supported by industry associations like Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI), The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA), India Golf Tourism Association (IGTA), The Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI), The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), India Chapter, Punjab Travel Agents Association (PTAA), The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) and The World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS).
CII Tourism Fest would be an ideal opportunity to present the vast potential of the tourism and hospitality sector.
